WHAT WE'VE BUILT
South County Housing has built nearly 2,700 homes since it was founded in 1979. Our earliest project provided housing for low-income farm worker families in Gilroy, CA. Over time, our service population has broadened to include seniors, families in transition, people with disabilities and families with children. We’ve partnered with 480 families to build self-help homes where they contributed their labor, supervised by construction professionals from South County Housing.

When we build neighborhoods, we invest in their long-term success. We include landscaping, childcare facilities and community buildings with computer labs. We build neighborhoods that provide a range of housing types for people from a variety of economic backgrounds and we remain actively involved with our residents, providing neighborhood services and property management. We invest in long-term sustainability, incorporating Green Building practices and using environmentally responsible materials. |
